Welcome to the new us

We’re very pleased to announce to our customers, suppliers and the wider industry, the new evolution of our business. BR2.0 will provide end-to-end property solutions, across development; construction; and asset maintenance, under the ethos of ‘Develop. Deliver. Maintain.’.

This is an evolution, not a revolution, and many of the traits you’ll be used to, such as the great customer service; quality; and attention to detail, will be retained and enhanced going forward.

So what does this mean for you? Our newly created development arm, Xpercity, will have immediate access to a significant war-chest, which is able to fund its development pipeline. Big Red Construction will capitalise on its extensive refurbishment and new-build expertise across major sites in the north, in order to deliver a quality product. The company’s maintenance arm, Inspired, will act as an asset maintenance and project management part of the business.

Together, these three strands of the business will provide a complete property solution. Xpercity, Big Red, and Inspired: Develop, Deliver and Maintain.

And on to the ‘why’? We feel that by having greater control over a project, from the initial concept stages right through to delivery and beyond, we can create better projects, underpinned by a strong focus on social value. We have always been focussed on people, and ‘the new us’ gives us licence to embed that mission right across our endeavours.

One thing that will stay the same is our ambition. Unlocking this new offer will come alongside a significant expansion drive, as we seek to deliver 750 residential units per year by 2030, rapidly increasing headcount over that time. In order to accommodate this growth, we’ll be moving our headquarters to Manchester, a city which has been a core area of focus for us.
